when i watched it rise i wasn't a particular fan of the design, well it was good designed, but no masterpiece in my opinion, but now with the cladding it changes the building in my eyes a lot. when the podium got its awesome cladding i was surprised as well and thought that i might have misjudged the building, but now i know for sure that i have and the building is just classy as ****. But what else can you expect from the city that gave us Zifeng and Deji

I love the white parts, wish they had done the whole building that way. The pale cladding is kind of bland.

and it was a really fast development, didn't think they would get these buildings up so fast back then, well it was the plan, but i thought there were good chances of it slowing down. really glad to see they pushed thru with this speed.

Yes, less than 10 pages for a supertall...

I'm curious if these 2 towers would rise up in London or so, what attention would had get.

Renders look good, but this is another fortunate example when the final product is even better than renders.

the cladding in the renders wasn't even close to the quality we got in the end

That's pretty unusual. Usually it's the other way around.

Not in China at least. Countless projects with tacky renderings become architecture pornography when built.

A complex shopping/business/hotel building like others. Youth Olympics will be held in Nanjing on Aug 16 so the twins got the name of it.
