Kaypee, Grosby and World Balance are well known local brands in the past. Sabi ng Rubberworld buhayin daw nila Grosby and Kaypee, nothing came out from that press release.Zenco Footstep, the retail store brand of Rubberworld, di ko alam kung buhay pa.

Accel, World Balance and some local rubber shoes brand sold by direct selling company Natasha and Boardwalk are the only remaining local brands left.

Just bought these kicks. I'm going to try them for the next few months. Been buying only Adidas in the past. OK na sana 'tong Advan kaso lang may mga labor disputes pala siya in the past. If we can get them to export, we can probably put the brand in the limelight:

Islander is really good. Meron ako nyan dati yung rubber nila na tsenelas, it lasted for almost 3 years at nasa 100+ php lang. talo pa yung havainas(original) na tsenelas ng gf ko ang dali nasira.

Exactly. kaya ako until now Islander or spartan pa rin tsenelas ko and also Handford(I don't know if Filipino ang may-ari)but made in the philippine.

These are very good but underestimated Philippine made and branded shoes.These are sold in major department stores.

Aside from what you mentioned, there are still some made in Marikina and Liliw, Laguna. Its just a matter of marketing them to be known to the mainstream market.

Agree!

Compared to those China made crappy shoes. Markina and Liliw made shoes are comparable with quality and expensive foreign brands.

The only difference is that foreign brands extensively use sleek advertisement and marketing tools to sell. Pinoy shoe makers dont do the same except those sold by popular direct marketers like Natasha and Boardwalk--selling mostly quality Marikina made and Philippine made brands.
