Another block is finished! Next up is adding more banners and roof stuff to all the buildings.

Haven't started on the next block yet, but I did continue adding some details.

I redid the trees, which are now way more realistic.

After some time working I've gotten back to working on this again. I added another building, which is an office- and convention complex with two towers and I think it really does a world of a difference to the plaza, which now has a very much more urban feeling imo.

Awesome work! Love how its only windows reflecting the suroundings, and not the whole facade, which it would have been when working in Kerky and Sketchup!

^I'm gonna go ahead and say thanks (even though it might seem stupid considering that it took me one and a half months to reply).

Either way. It has been some time since I spent some time with this. Here's an old render of the waterfront and one showing the volume of what is to become the city's main train station:

Long time no work on this again. Almost finished with the train station building. Just missing a ground floor basically:

Here's the glass section over the building. Quite a render-time eater I can assure you.

Thanks It isn't kerkythea though, it's the built in renderer of Cinema 4D.

Then a bit of an overview showing the new, redone waterfront:

a question:
how you make the glass and facade, the textures from internet are to small.
and the sketch up facades are terrible? help please
or what is with copy facade and make it over the buiding, how i can do it?

When you import a texture from internet to Sketchup, you have the option of resizing it... By the way, he doesn't use Sketchup, he uses Cinema 4D

Have a look at cgtextures.com, lots of high quality textures over there. I gues the majority of my textures are from there. And I'm not quite sure what you mean by the question about the copying of facades over the building. Also, as JMGV mentioned, I cannot really help you on specifics such as how to model buildings unless you're using Cinema 4D. If you're usin sketchup then I believe there's a help thread somewhere, look that up, there are loads of people who should be able to help you over there.

Either way, thanks both of you, I'm glad you like the looks of the city.

I designed another block. The taller building may not be one of my favorites in the city, but the green building I am really happy about. So all in all I'm happy with the block, may turn it 180 degrees though so that the green building will be more visible than the other one.

First skyscraper of Jensenburg:
Still not finished with it. It has no ground floor yet and I'm thinking I'll probably make is around 25% taller. I was just doing text renders and they came out so good that I wanted to share with you guys:

Thanks a lot!
I'm definitively still working on this, I've just been super busy last weeks and haven't felt like I have time to work on this. So don't worry, there should be some progress sometime.
