Maasin zoo holds soft opening

THE region’s first newly opened zoo located in Maasin City is eyeing to position Southern Leyte as an educational playground of Eastern Visayas by 2013.

Southern Leyte Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Robert Castañares said the zoo is targeting to invite one million students in the region.

how does sogod (town proper) compare to maasin city (city proper)
in terms of college level schools?

especially sa overall combined student population...

based on the last semester's population, SLSU Main Campus has almost 4k population.

Just a trivia:
SLSU is the largest tertiary institution in the province in terms of student population.
Sogod National High School is also the province's largest secondary school in terms of population.
Saint Thomas Aquinas College has less than 1000 college population.
