If we do not tear these buildings down, the site will sit empty for another 15 years. The area really needs a spark. Alot of vacant office buildings and storefronts. 1,000-2,000 high end rental apartments would do wonders for the area.

can you imagine 600 apartments!?
Wow!!! What a huge injection of life that would be. And just imagine how the surrounding businesses will love that.

![]() yeah, 600 apartments would definitely do wonders for that area.however, as you guys probably know, if/when the mechanic gets approved to get knocked down, David S. Brown should be prepared to have a fight on their hands from the historic preservationists. ...could last a couple of months, could last a year. I guess we'll find out one way or another.

I too remember seeing the redevlopment of Charles Center back in the day and it was new and of the time, but times do change and as someone said it needs a spark, like an implosion.

It is time for the Mechanic to go. It's as unpleasant inside as it looks from the outside. After two visits, I'd had enough, and refused to go back.
Aren't we supposed to get a new Baltimore Arena? There is such potential for both properties.
