This tower looks like a generic glass box you can find in any small Asian city. I am somewhat disappointed that they built this on this site. The location deserved a more striking design.

While the final product is quite nice, it did involve the demolition of a historic structure so that somewhat sours it, particularly when Chicago still has plenty of empty lots to work with:

I agree about the whole development as it's the second phase, but at least the tower is more generic than it is messy, and has some form of a crown. However, the base is horrendous.

If the leases also include naming rights, I'd rather see it move to the latter so terrible mistake of renaming it the Willis Tower can be erased once and for all.

Willis has naming rights likely through their lease. They won't give them up.

New project, Columbia College Chicago is a private college specializing in media arts (film, tv, theater, digital, etc). I have a number of close friends that work in film and tv production that graduated from there. This is their proposed new Student Center, on 8th and Wabash:
