Its front does.

Not all trains look "space-agey". Tokyo trains look more like Sâo Paulo's, for instance. And you do not get more modern than Tokyo, do you?

SAO PAULO | Public Transport

I'm not agree, these trains have their charm: they're similar to New York's trains and personally they give me the impression to be in a busy and large underground system. But, at the end, the thing that matter is not the look.

It's not known yet.

There's talk that the section Adolfo Pinheiro-Brooklin (three stations) could maybe open sooner than the rest, but we really don't know yet.

If the whole extension from Adolfo Pinheiro to Chácara Klabin opened in one go, that would be ten stations.

Yes, there are ten stations under construction now in Line 5, all of them underground. You can find all information about all projects and existing systems in the first page of the BRAZIL URBAN TRANSPORT COMPILATION thread.

Here is what Line 5 will look like when current expansion is complete:

only the stations from Capão Redondo to Adolfo Pinheiro are operational now.

Here is a more detailed map:

Here it is in full context

thank you for the answers and the pictures

How long will be the whole system (within suburban rails and monorails)?

It's unknown. There are still so many unplanned extensions that will be necessary in the not-so-distant future.
Sâo Paulo is one of the biggest cities in the world, but also one of the bic cities with the smallest metro/commuter rail systems, compared to its size.

The map of the planed extensions is awesome, but what i noticed, and what - in my opinion - is an fatal error - is the fact that several lines never cross, which means, there will be need of several transfers.
Line 5 never meets line 4 or 6.

Line 6 - official signs pics. Line 6 is starting construction now and is schedule to have its 15 underground stations open by May 2020, though delays are always likely.

Muito bom ! O governo de São Paulo poderia construir uma linha de metrô que iria até o centro-oeste paulista e assim cruzando várias outras linhas para norte e sul do estado.
