Great Line 4 video (line four is still operating in limited hours, from 9am to 3pm, only with Paulista and Faria Lima stations open)

great video this last one from line 4

Both Oscar Freire and Fradique Coutinho stations look pretty rusty yet ... i don't hang around there in a long time, but I guess that nobody is working at these stations anymore right ? as the tunnel phase is already over, and other stations are the priority, I guess that they abandoned those construction sites

Contract predicted these intermediate stations were for "Phase II", which is slated for completion sometime between 2012 and 2014. But once work restarts in these stations, I believe they can be ready within 9 months, they are all ready except for the systems, escalators, all the finishing. So if they start completing them by late 2011, we can have them by mid 2012.

Sao Paulo City's 2014 World Cup official stadium has just been defined to be located near Itaquera Station, line 3's Eastern terminus.

Picture from a 1985 study which already foresaw the stadium before the station itself was built (in 1988)

I thought they were going to play in the morumbi stadium? of course I'm way behind, I left Sao Paulo last year.

But it looks like a new stadium for Corinthians

Exactly, this is the old project for the Corinthians Soccer Club stadium, the reason why Itaquera station is called Corinthians-Itaquera. The stadium was supposed to have been built by the late 80's, but wasn't. It appears it now will be.
