- Cost: $ 24 million -Production: 600 tons / day This cement factory is sponsored by the government and financed by a loan from India. It is mainly destined to the local market.

Ali sabieh, land of the hayrans LOL. I had great fun there. I have also visited one cement factory while under construction. Nice to know they're building one more.

It's annoying how your average person doesn't give a shit about projects under way. You won't believe the number of Ali Sabians I asked to take pics of these dams factories U/C when going to their hometown on weekends. No response so far
I'll have to get there once back home to be able to take their pics along with the hospital U/C there. On another note, I should be paid for my efforts!!!!

They should think about exporting to Somalia. The country is currently going through a construction boom with the reconstruction but all the building materials are brought in from abroad. Djibouti could make a killing.

There is an opportunity there indeed. This is the first of 3 cement plants U/C and it's government owned while the 2 others are private, I'm not sure this one alone will be able to satisfy the local market, but when the others are completed, Djibouti will probably be too small a market and they'll have to export. Besides, the road liking Djibouti city to Somalia is U/C from our side, it should be easier to export stuff to SL and beyond.
