NORRKÖPING | Public Transport

I can not find any photos from Norrköping in Sweden, so I thought I should show some of the trams in this town, situated in the south-middle part of Sweden. Approx 90.000 inhabitants in the city.

2 tram lines. 1435 mm gauge. A newly expansion in the south, probably more in the future.

These pictures mostly show the old cars

More photos from Norrkoping, Sweden

First of all, a map at http://www.norrkoping.se/bo-miljo/tr...platskarta.JPG

Below some photos showing the single track traffic at Albrektsvagen and Ljura centrum. Also speed limits in the area, because of noise reduction.

Great photos and vid, Leif Since you seem to be the one "running" the thread maybe you could add a map of the tram system in Norrköping?

Does anyone know the manufacturer of the low floor inserts within the high floor stock?

cal_t:

I think the low floor part was made in-house by the local tramway.

Some pictures from the rebuild:
https://web.archive.org/web/20071020...-58425/mod.htm

At the end of that page it says "A huge thank you to the tramway staff who let me walk around in the shop and take pictures".

I'm not even sure if the low floor part is new or if it's based on old parts.

Swede:
Current map of the tram system

Geographical map with tram and local bus lines, no regional bus lines (green = tram, blue = bus)

(To make the list complete:
Geographical map of regional buses. Red lines = tax zone boundaries)

Norrköping

The urban area of Norrköping has a tram network operated by two tram lines; line 2 and line 3. These lines carry 66 % of the passengers in the city's public transport. The trams consist mainly of 16 modern vehicles built between 2006-2014. There are also 8 trams that were built in 1966-67 they have undergone extensive renovation to meet the needs of today.

Kvarnberget, the end of line 2

Södertull is a hub for buses and trams at the south side of the inner city.

Bus 115 serves the area Vilbergen, which is not connected to the tram line.

Bus 117 from Herstadberg- A commercial district on the north side.
