Towerist is cool!
Strange no one came up with it before (I think). The word includes everyone living up high, while not sounding all that artificial and overblown.

I like towerist as well, although my first thought was that this is someone who goes to big cities to check out towers and other urban xl stuff (as in merging tower and tourist).

Nice idea! We could spread this into 3 categories, if necessary (skyscraper visitors/tourists, skyscraper dwellers, skyscraper hotel guests or perhaps people working in skyscrapers). The words shouldn't be confusable with each other then.
What do you think about Skyfolk? It can both be a singular and plural for skyscraper dweller and thus even include the whole group of them - which is quite an elegant solution.

Shardenfreuder
Shardenfreude: Taking pleasure from learning of problems in a skyscraper that you can't afford to live in. Derivation of: Schadenfreude (German) which is pleasure derived from the misfortunes of others |
