Almost certainly a fake render. What will probably happen is nothing will happen for 3+ years and we will hear them develop a more realistic plan, probably less than 500m. Just my prediction based on my knowledge of Chinese development and similar projects.

especially in chongqing, our experience from chongqing should tell us that they probably make this building <300m in the end

on the first page this design is listed as "rejected design"...so maybe it's an old one.

The design is very unique.
The spacing between the twin towers of control is a big problem.

Oh, if they built the twin, wavy design, it would be one of the best things ever built.

Absolutely, that design is amazing. But to be true, it's quite unlikely that it will be build. The chances are almost 0 i would say.

Sadly I'd have to agree with you. Though I'll always gonna hope that finally there'll be taller twins in the world than the destroyed WTC.

Why are you so sure it won't be built? You mean cause of the bizarre design or some legal issues or what?

And btw, if it does get built, i wonder how the elevator configuration might look..

The shape is too bizarre in my opinion. Then again, so is the speed of Sky City. I think it will be very interesting to see if China will really be able to achieve such great innovations in skyscraper construction.
