Nice model Otie btw. Models help you understand the spaces so much easier don't they.

Yes it's a nice building. It's one of the typical image of Lyon. Here we call it "l'aile" which means "the wing" in french.

Progress on B1

Interesting how the use of light can hide or show all those minor errors that the human eye tends to ignore.

Building the Dey Street Concourse Passageway

Humidity has caused some creases on the paper texture, here is marked the most damaged area, now replaced with new paper and acetate sheets.

Escalators have been by far the most tedious elements to build.

Lol I can see you fixed the width of the bar rails on the escalators, they look much better! And I can also see what you were talking about the damaged paper, it's very noticeable, But oh well thats the earth for you, lol Still can't wait to see the two floors installed together!

^The 3D model yes, but printing the footprint (including the space where the ribs will be placed) made things much more easy.

I'm not going to slope the ceiling of the balcony, couldn't find a way to slope it without creating too much deformation of the oval outline.

That's a terrific model. May I ask what scale it is? Will you put people in there?

Keep up the great work.

^Scale is 1:250, I may add some people to add the sense of scale.

Thanks everyone for the compliments!

B1 led circuit is already installed and connected to the main battery.

The sidewalk level is now being formed, I tried to find a 0.3mm thick cardboard to represent accurately the sidewalk, but couldn't find any enough strong, so decided to go to the 1mm one.

Sidewalk level includes the second row of grooves that will support the ribs.

Molding of the sidewalk level is complete.

Planters will go at the orange rectangles, the south part needed to be cut (just right of the planters) since here the area doesn't follow the sloping of the rest of the terrain, instead steps will be placed.
