Rumor has it two teams consulted FIFA about leaving the tournament due to the riots, so FIFA is considering to suspend it. It would be a catastrophe.

Yeah, shame on them for wanting better health care, schools and public transportation.

They hardly ever had the ball, but when they did, they tried to go for goal.Big credit to Tahiti, they were always going to lose heavily but you might as well lose 10-0 and provide a spectacle and make friends.

I think if these protests get larger it would be better to cancel the competition, you could hear the protests outside the ground on TV during the Uruguay Nigeria game.

The tournament is almost over. After today there are only 6 games left. I doubt they'll cancel it.

I don't know to what kind of hotels do you guys go to, but I have leave all my personal belongings including my wallet, for example when I go to the hotel gym or swimming pool, totally unattended in hotels all over Europe, including Spain, and nothing ever happened to me.

And I have done it not once, not twice but a lot of times.

Unfortunately the continuing protests are grabbing headlines and not the quality of football or the efforts Brazil has put into hosting the tournament.

Very sad.

In Spain this liking much this Confederations Cup, much more than the South Africa. In addition to the matchs of Spain, it is following with interest to Mexico, Italy, Nigeria and Uruguay. This tournament is a good substitute for a Euro or a litle world cup I liked this much.

shame on them to decide just now, after seven years, after all the money invested, to protest against the wc.

that was a band who was stealing from famous people, the common people had nothing to be afraid of.

Actually the police arrested all of then.

So Michel Telo got his stuff back

Cae la banda que robó a Michel Teló y Les Luthiers haciéndose pasar por ellos

http://elcomercio.pe/espectaculos/13...tbull-chayanne

BTW, the people arrested where from south america with "brazilian accent"

and to let everything clear, if i ever travel to Brazil (hopefully sooner than later) and i do have the chance to be hosted in the kind of hotels that national teams usually are hosted i will have no trouble leaving my wallet in the room as i do see little chance of something wrong happening, exactly as i do in Eruope.

Shame on them?! Are you serious?

It is NEVER too late to protest about the things that don't work in this world (and they are a lot).

My team is playing in this cup, but we have our priorities screwed up if we don't realize that this is much bigger than a few football games.

yes im serious! im not against the pacific protest, but i am of all protests against people working or atrending to the event. the costs of taking the wc away is bigger than all the money already invested. btw many sectors of the economy depends on the events now and are not guilty of the bad choices of the gov. an if they are so angry about public investment with big events why i dont see anyone complaining about 100 mi dollars spent to bring the pope to Brazil? a country that says it doesnt have any official religion?

FIFA already said that there is NO POSSIBILITY to suspend the tournament and the Italy delegation that was supposed menacing to leave the country already said that there is no possibilities of that happening either.

It is NEVER too late to express your true patriotic duty by pointing out things that are gone awry.

They have the right to protest and no one should tell them to do the opposite. People are just disillusioned that all the investment for the WC/Olympics has not been enough to satisfy the basic needs of people (health, poverty, etc.) and I agree with them that the government is, instead of solving those issues, trying to cover them up and give a fake image of the country.

Brazil, as much as it has progressed on the last decade, still has many issues to solve, that's the sad truth. Even so it's a bit depressing that an event which is supposed to unite people has been affected with those kind of political events (at least Dilma has decided to dialogue, not like certain guy in eastern Europe *stares at Erdogan* )
