I have alot of pictures so be patient
この写真は杉並区から始まります。
I'll start with Suginami-ku Tokyo
Edit: I have updated this thread with more picture so please check the end too (go to page 17 for newer pictures)
Here are some food you can eat in Ikebukuro Tokyo which I enjoyed alot. First this is Yakiniku, i ordered wagyu which is probably the best beef in the world (kobe beef too). In yakiniku you cook the food yourself At this shop my order was only 10 dollars.
Wagyu
Nice sauce
This is Melon Soda, I think it's only in japan :dunno: it's really nice.

This picture isnt mine but my friend took it when we had dinner. This is Melon Soda, I think it's only in japan :dunno: it's really nice.
you probably ate Korean food, not Japanese food, in fact Yakiniku has originated from Korean BBQ Bulgogi but $10 seems a bit too expensive
when in Korea you can get that for $7-8 plus more banchans (side dishes)
for free at request.
This place you should definately go to if you're in Ikebukuro. This is Teppanyaki, it is a bit more expensive but it is delicious and still not very pricey. You also cook your food yourself
The one i had was simpler, I remember it had fish flakes and some other stuff i forgot ... I assume there are different styles of okonomiyakis, depending on the area they are made... I'm I right?
ここは浅草で、お寺があり、日本人は浅草にお土産やお菓子を買いに来たりします。ここで様々なお祭りが開かれたりもします。
Now I will show you Asakusa, Tokyo where there are many temples. Japanese come here to buy sweets, presents etc. Many festivals are held here too.
This was in the train station so i took a pic.
In Japan you can see these "swastikas" but it has nothing to do with Nazis but Buddhism and was used in Japan and India for hundreds of years
I should have made my photobucket account earlier. Imageshack is so unreliable. Some of the pictures just show as x now in the first 2 posts (imageshack).
秋葉原;Now Akihabara a famous area of tokyo for "Otaku" (nerds) to buy anime, games etc.
Here is a video I took
Riding the train
Here's an example of the weird things you can buy in Akihabara. Basically akihabara is the area of Japan that gives all of japan the "weird" image around the world. Thanks Akihabara!
Tokyo is a great city indeed! I was there in 2002. Shibuya rocks, Roppongi is crazy at night, and gotta love the looks of them Harajuku girls. Gotta say that times are a changing quickly, and a few top Chinese cities are catching up to Tokyo.
丸の内;Marunouchi district of Chiyoda tokyo and the imperial palace
