Fort Worth's new convention center that is going to be built is a good example of neo art deco.

But this is a forum where u can get opinions from like minded people. That's why I asked instead of google. I want to know what other persons think "Neo Art Deco" is.

I wholeheartedly agree. I saw Parkview Sqaure in person and its Lobby is breathtaking. It definitely compares to other older Art Deco lobbies such as that of the ESB.

One Vanderbilt also has a nice and sleek lobby but definitely not comparable to any real Art Deco lobby. I do like how it synthesizes new and old though.

Why is that? Are there simply more of them to carry the load?

Lots of crane parts there. Tower sections, power pack and A frame.

That lobby is too simple and cold for One Vanderbilt.

it's fantastic having a construction site where on one hand the background is Metlife and on the other it's Chrysler.

Shame they can't make the very top part an outside observation deck. That would have been awesome.

Oh no, an observation deck here at 1,050 feet, and another one at 30 HY at only 1,100 feet. Might as well not build either buildings.

What are they going to do with that ugly bulky monstrosity across the street to the left of MetLife?
