I like the look of the new sidewalk sheds. Can't say I've walked under them in these conditions yet.

Not sure if its because of the fact that its closer but it looks like One Vanderbilt is stealing the show here from this view, with CPT at the back. Steinway is so slim that from far its hard to see at what kind of building you're looking at . Oh and there is Tower Verre trying its hardest to be seen alongside the big boys

That 2020 perspective would have been unfathomable in the immediate years post 9/11. I was a stalwart in believing that New York should rebuild itself out of its coma into something more magnificent and proud. I am seeing that dream after nearly 20 years coming to fruition. It is my favourite city in the world. This coming from the beautiful city of Sydney.

Yeah and now they are building most new tall buildings so slim it's much harder to hit them with any planes.

New York is my favourite city in the world too. Happy to see it thrive. Hope to visit for a second time by 2020.

Great idea. I'm no expert but it seems to have all the features of a jigsaw image: regular repeating shapes (glass windows) and blocky areas (clouds, street) that offer a challenge, as well as distinctive aspects that would be easier to complete.

I was thinking the same, steel gorgeousness at its prime. Quality stuff, the white terracotta looks pristine, imagine it together with the glass.

Even at this early stage it would already be the tallest structure in my local downtown.

for those who were curious about the core, you can see it in this model (I think).
