I highly doubt that this is the final design anyway, but it gives an idea of the height which will be in the 350m to 400m range. It's more than twice the height of 330 Madison, which is 550 feet tall.

Made a 370 m model. Hope final design isn't open grid like this, really distracting.

Wow, just wow... ugly as sin.

Why release such atrocious concept sketches anyway? Waste of time. Just release the final project when it is finalized. KPF better have something better up its sleeve than that disjointed pile. The former WTC1 design is not a nice example to follow and this, just like the first HY design, would be a wasted opportunity. Thankfully we know better not to panic.

Ugly? I think it looks awesome. Better than Bank of America.
This always happens. People say a building looks ugly from the vaguest sketches of it, and when it is finally built, they praise it. Humanity needs to learn to never judge anything so quickly.

Everyone is entitled to judge this pile anyway they want from the data we have at this time, and in my view, it is disjointed and ugly. For one thing, the top disgusts me. I hate open lattice designs.

As I said, I would be shocked if anything like this ( a design worthy of 10 years ago) were actually built. So i'm not really phased.

The final version of the tower will look different. Moreover, this appears to be 350 to 400m with just 1.6m sf. If the developer buys extra air rights from Grand Central, this could be truly huge.

They were released to investors if the developer -- not to potential tenants.

It looks dull and uninspired, with a ridiculous design gimmick for a better statistic to brag about.

That concept looks good so far, even with the spire . I just hope it will be taller in the final version.

I agree. With good renderings it will be amazing.

Not tall enough for me. This is the new era of NYC with Barnett and the West Side going crazy.

I want at least 1,500+.

I don't care that much about hight normally, thinking good design is far more important. But...... The location of this development begs for something higher!

As long as this one's top 200 feet or so aren't hollow, I'll like it. If they are, I don't find myself loving this.

Chrysler didn't cheat. Its roof height is much taller. When the developers of 40 Wall claimed that their highest floor was 100 feet higher than Chrysler's, they failed to recognize the floors inside the cupola.
