Ningbo isn't a large city and I don't anything that is odd about that the city hasn't have any metro. I would say that Ningbo is a third-tier city. It's more important that medium to large Second-tier cities such as Harbin, Changsha, Nanchang, and Kunming gets metro than Ningbo gets one.

I wouldn't call Ningbo a third tier city when you listed Nanchang as a second tier city.

Actually we don't have an English translation for that map yet. The one I posted is in Chinese and Chingrish.

Ningbo Metro rolling stock built by CSR. Looks like their cookie cutter model used in Zhengzhou and Changsha Metros.

I happen to be in Ningbo now.
I'm not sure which Line 1 station this is but, it's near the Century Oriental Plaza Shopping Mall

Line 2 Shiqi Station on Yage'er Avenue, Shiqizhen.

Aerial Views of Line 1 Dongmenkou station? Construction, it's near Tianyi Square
