The tetrastyle Temple of Fortuna Augusta at Pompeii exhibits two distinct types of Corinthian capitals, as is evident from the photos here, both photographed in situ: left: Sept. 2008; right: Oct. 2005. The two variant styles are clearly visible in the carving of the acanthus leaves. Both capitals have been dated to the period of Augustus, perhaps belonging to two building phases or possibly representing different workshops.

The altar in the Temple of Apollo in Pompeii, which dates from 80BC.

The Temple of Apollo is the oldest of the religious buildings in Pompeii, dating back to the sixth century BC. It is to the west of the Forum
