Oklahoma City has a very dense downtown.

Found this on SSpage:

Also these pictures that I took show the density from street level.

And this one shows the northside of downtown from the 14th floor of the Chase Tower.

If you are talking about who lives in the city limits

Charlotte: 2005 pop. est of 632,760
Atlanta: 2004 Census Estimate) 423,019

Atlanta MSA + 28 counties in Ga (2004 Census Estimate) 5,034,362
Charlotte MSA + 6 counties in NC & SC -2003 Census Estimate 1,437,427

More people live within a 100 mile radius of Charlotte than most other large cities in the Southeast. Charlotte's 100-mile radius population of 6.2 million people equals that of Atlanta's 100-mile radius population and is larger than Miami's 3.8 million and Memphis' 2.4 million people"
So it is all on how you look at it.

What the?

And by the way why do Charlotte people LOVE to post about 100-mile radius population? What in the world is that supposed to prove?

Actually, Charlotte 651,101 in city. They recently annexed more land, and the new figure has been confirmed on Wikipedia.
It's just crazy how many people live outside of Atlanta but within the metro. By my estimation, the metro is about 12 times the size of the actual city.
And on the opposite end of the spectrum is Memphis, which by those figures seems to have done a very good job of restraining sprawl.

I know this thread is about pictures, though, so...

Don't know if it's been posted yet or not, though. If it has, forgive me. It was taken a year ago, before the renovation of One Wachovia center (The mid-rise on the very right), and before the beginning of construction of all of the condo towers.
