In Greek Architecture, Erechtheon is known to be one of most original masterpieces. It was constructed during the Peace of Nikias in 421 B.C. It was built to replace the ancient temple of Athena. This style of architecture is one of the most decorative in Greek history.

The Maison Carrée is an ancient building in Nîmes, southern France; it is the best preserved temples to be found anywhere in the territory of the former Roman Empire.

It was built c. 16 BC,and reconstructed in the following years,by Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa, who was also the original patron of the Pantheon in Rome, and was dedicated or rededicated c. 2-4/5 AD to his two sons, Gaius Caesar and Lucius Caesar, adopted heirs of Augustus who both died young.

The Theatre of Dionysus was a major open-air theatre in Athens, built at the foot of the Acropolis and forming part of the temenos of "Dionysus Eleuthereus" ("Dionysus, the Liberator"). Dedicated to the god of wine and fertility, it hosted the City Dionysia festival. Amongst those to have competed are all of the renowned dramatists of the classical era, such as Aeschylus, Sophocles, Euripides, and Aristophanes. A stone-version of the theatre, which was built c. 325 BCE, seated between 14,000 to 17,000 spectators.

After this the theatre fell into disuse and little is recorded until 61 CE where there is evidence of major renovations done by the emperor Nero. The remains of a restored and redesigned Roman version can still be seen at the site today.
