Very interesting cladding , I have always though they would use reflecting metal sheet like Aluminum or Titanium to clad the structure ...it turned out , just the designed cladding material that give us the impression it is shining and reflective .

OMFG I couldn't wait to see the "blob" without its protection, it's even more beautiful than what i figured; even if that's not finished yet. It remind me in some ways the forerunners architecture in the halo universe for the metallic part. This gonna be a masterpiece !

Along with the Philarmony, two other futuristic spaceship have land in France those 6 last month : The Vuitton fondation in Paris which seems like floating, almost ethereal, and the Musem of the confluences in Lyon which really look like an architectonic battle cruiser x).

jean nouvel boycotts the opening of paris’ philharmonie concert hall

acclaimed french architect jean nouvel has revealed that he will not be attending the opening of paris’ philharmonie concert hall, citing misleading press reports that attribute the scheme’s increased cost to his firm. located in the french capital’s parc de la villette, ateliers jean nouvel was chosen to design the 2,400 venue in 2007 after an international competition. the project has been the subject of work stoppages and overruns, and is estimated to have reached an increased total cost of €387 million ($455 million USD).

‘these charges are unfounded and highly prejudicial to me and to ateliers jean nouvel‘, he explained in a statement. ‘I will not tolerate that untruthful, defamatory and disparaging writings or comments are made about me.’

This building is a nice addition to Paris blend of modernity and fresh additions to its list of iconic landmarks.

Final results impressed me more than what I was expecting.

I've read the area where it is build is quite rough and a bit dangerous. True or false?
