Hebrew Issue On Our Forum

A, if thats your sources for information - you have a problem. news is today a form of entertainment, its created and manipulated to make rating and simplified stories and tell you what to think about products or people or places.
the people who own and fund al jazeera are arab dictators with a clear agenda to harm israel's image and the bbc propaganda isnt much different. The bbc keep apologizing for unfair coverage to israel, meanwhile they were very instrumental in not covering (..or covering up) genocides in rwanda and kosovo and kongo and darfur and chechniya and now syria.
Obama can issue a law to detain anyone on US soil without bringing them to court indefinately and its ok.. If we dared have such a law Im sure Hillary Clinton would be getting Haim Saban NIF midnight phonecalls and running to issue 'we're very concerned' statements and EU and the UN general assembly in 1 hour be condemning illegal legislation..". The world is full of hypocracy, whats new? UN resolutions are reserved for one country only with a 60 country automatic block against it. guess.. I want to see how other countries would react and what they would or wouldnt do when their cities are hit non stop for years with rockets and suicide bombs and terror acts and when they are living between wars and threats of wars with insane fanatic regimes around them..

B, With all that, this forum doesnt aim to be some kind of anti-the anti-mechanism and its just a few construction and general forums.
Over the last two weeks south Israel was hit with 100 rockets and people went up to 6 times in one night to shelters, Im sure you havent heard about it mentioned here at all because --- its construction forums. (Im sure it was hardly if at all mentioned in the "news" channels).
This is a construction and architecture related forum, some culture and maybe here and there some news topics. If you want it to be a "update us on number of missiles falling on beer sheva" outlet --- for sure youre in the wrong forums.

I again dont have a problem with anyone else writing in english and if I think something is interesting for non israeli forumers I add it in english. We're entitled not to use english just as any other forum on SSC, take it as it is just like you would in any other forum here.
Ive seen other asian countries do the exact same - each person can choose to write in chinese or thai or in english, so we can do the same.

There probably no more than 400 million Russian speakers. There only 186 Million Russians. Another 280 altoghether from the USSR and maybe a few million (50-75 million abroad) who can speak russian... a billion. What is this? china?

Actually both of you are wrong...there are about 140 million people in Russia and maybe about another 150 million in the former USSR = 290 million. And I imagine that many people in the former USSR are moving away from Russian and starting to speak their own languages instead and also English.

I think you're being dense. The point isn't to say to people: "Hey- look at what's happening in southern Israel: missiles are falling!"

It's just to show that Israel is a normal and modern country just like any other Western country. And I think that by communicating primarily in Hebrew we are brushing people aside, which is not a good idea.

I think Hebrew and English should be allowed. Honestly, I don't see a problem when there is Google Translate available

Also, posters sometimes post the English versions. And if they don't then they'll expect to get less reads or replies.

You can post in hebrew, but do it to a certain amount.... how much? i think you should make your own limits, but do it out of the respect of someone from China who may speak cantonese but can understand english. Same with Mexicans, Indonesians, Morrocans, Bosnians and beyond..

Thank you, I'm not a regular vistor of this section. I usually pay a visit after I have read some articles about Israel in the papers. Btw, Dutch and Hebrew have in common that they share some rare phonology. Quite rare in todays languages.

I would be more happy if we shared the same architecture innovation

btw the way g is said in dutch and the way its said in hebrew (h/ch or ar. kh)

Mr mod Urban Legend I have had enough of racist and sexist comments by your friend Kappa21. I have collected dozens of his comments and posts. Either you ban him and stop the constant harrasment by Kappa21 and M-120, or you need to be replaced as mod with someone who will.

As for hebrew - Until rules are changed throughout local SSC site forums making English the only language, I will continue to post in Hebrew and you will respect all forumers who dont know English or who feel comfortable with Hebrew only, as any other local SSC forum.
As you were told by many other forumers here including the other forum mod Ayala - there are translation engines and there should be no problem with this matter.
