Actually, from the website and reviews, I believe Hampton doesn't offer any parking spaces of its own but has a reduced rate available for guests over at the Brindleyplace car park (so at least people get a good first impression of the area, I suppose!)

Some people on Trip Advisor have mentioned the Five Ways car park as well - that approach to the hotel would be less scenic. (Although they have FINALLY fixed the lifts in that car park, about three years after they broke and at least a year since I e-mailed them to complain about it.)

Good point PSS for every pub that opens there is one closing down, add Old Orleans to that and Brannigans and that big two floor bar a bit further up Broad Street...

Yes I have read the reviews, just a shame a lot of investment £35 million, ended up doing nothing for improving the street environment, thought the planners might have placed some obligation on them just to make the frontage just a little attractive. Lets hope the Auckinleck House and shopping centre redevelopment does a better job...

The exterior of the pub as remained amazingly intact despite being empty for 5 years, even the chalk board outside is still intact and with the same messages on it, must be ..RESPECT..anyway does anyone know who the applicant is?

i live nxt door to Birmingham airport and chose to live their.How anyone cn complain about pub noise when you move in to an apartment onthe same street is hypocrical.Edgbaston cricket ground for instance why live nxt to it in the 1st place and moan.Now some bright spark has given permission for houses to be built right nxt to it.I fear for future redevelopement of the stadium.

The licensing authority have approved a licence for a new night club to open in Sutton on the Parade - Hyde After Dark. No indication yet of when it will open but I would assume there is no point hanging about now.

I believe there is another application before the committee for another night club to open further along the Parade.

Does anyone have any idea when Baa Bar will be opening up in Birmingham and which location, I have heard it should be open before 2012 is out, info anyone?

Baa bar announced they were in advanced talks over a Birmingham city centre location but I don't think we've had an app yet,

Brew dog are opening on John Bright st

An app went in for a hotel and ground floor bar restaurant at Rosie's on John bright st

And I think it was pure ales? Put in an app for the unit at Orion for a bar

It's too big a venue to fill four nights a week. There are a few of these huge venues in Brum that have just died with the change of licencing laws and the lack of 15-24 year olds.

Oceana, Mint/Pagoda Park, Risa (only a third normally opens)...

I think a bar like Yates should open there, I think they would pull in quite a crowd, they just opened one in Sutton Coldfield and its always full!
