Josh is right:
http://www.tacobelluk.co.uk/faq.html God I hope one opens in Brum! Love Mexican food, its a market that is woefully catered for in the UK. |

True that. The problem is that if any other independent competitor wants to come into the market to open up their venue, the units that are already established can reduce their prices on drinks in order to take advantage of the increased economies of scale-slightly illegal but it also reduces innovation in this area of business for Hurst Street.

Looks like they're making a start on Brewdog..advertising hoardings have been removed and there appears to be some some initial clearance beginning inside!

Application just gone in (2012/06013/PA - no docs yet) for the vacant unit under Westside (next to Accord Lettings) to open a Henry's Cantonese restaurant (same group as the one in St Pauls' Square)

I'm really surprised no restaurant or bar has applied for the 2 x empty units on Colmore Row yet:
The old 110 Bar and the corner site opposite the Council House - prime spots for business and tourism.

Just returned from Manchester and the "Curry Mile" which I think as a real atmosphere to it.
Considering how much BCC goes on about our own "Balti Triangle" I went down looking for it, could'nt find any signage to point me in the right direction. I was led to believe Ladypool Rd was the heart, I recall it being really lively years ago, but didn't get any vibes making me feel this was one of our leading Tourist attractions. Half the shops and restaurants seem to have gone....anyone able to guide me in the right direction? |

I still like Royal Watan which has been there for years but which, according to them died off after Pebble Mill closed. If you go for a beer in the Selly Park Tavern just down the street it's often very busy with people eating, and the Watan nearly always empty. They do the best naans I've ever tasted without doubt. Chili, garlic and cheese naan fresh as you like. |

Sign saying "Duelling Pianos" bar opening November in the closed down unit (think it was the "Living Room") next to Solomon Cutler...further up Broad Street Lushkar's extension into the cafe next door now complete and open, now takes up the whole frontage below Jury's Inn.

Gone are the days when you'd go to the pub until 11pm then have a curry on the way home. I'm amazed so many are still open.
The dueling pianos bar could be good fun. Different to anything else on Broad Street. |

Yeap. Been approved quite a while back but looks like they are starting to shift into gear.
