Like most mexican forumers, I did not like the design of this skyscraper based on the initial renderings that were published.

But now it's clear to me, that the more it progresses, the more it grows on me.

Aquí la foto desde ese ángulo un poco más alto!

This is a very unique building, its facade is in the frontier of been a monstrosity,
however to me, to architect knew very well how to distribute all the bodies
and the shapes without been "too much" and as a result you got this interesting
building, in some way reminded me of Pompidou in Paris.

I can´t really say it reminds me of Centre Georges Pompidou..but both BBVA Tower and CGP have the same in architect in common. BBVA was designed by Ricardo Legorreta (who also liked bright color, and, unlike Rogers, hid everything he could under a big volume that resulted in zero scale references and sheer space, emphasizing the monumentality and heaviness of traditional mexican architecture) and Richard Rogers, while CGP was designed by Renzo Piano (his buildings are mostly diaphanous) and Richard Rogers. Rogers is one, if not the best, user of high-tech design in his buildings. Norman Foster also uses it, but his buildings are classier and not as "technologically-raw" as Rogers´. I love his style.

Cheers!
