Cottbus - the global city

Cottbus at the south-east of Brandenburg, Germany is situated on the globe and thus inarguably a global city.

All images from July 2012, yesterday.

Very nice. I especially like the colours they use for the buildings in that region. It looks warm and friendly. Charming town!

GLOBAL CITY ?

Loser city is the right term for it since I was going to school there and this town is nor charming or beautiful or even inviting.
Cottbus is one of the poorest (if not the poorest) cities in Germany.
It was the former energy hub of the GDR since Cottbus is surrounded by huge areas in which coal is being mined which goes straight into the coal plants nearby.
I allow myself to complete the picture of cottbus:

Could you please guys respect the threads of other people? open your own one, it´s not that difficult. I was enjoying the first pictures for then suddenly find some trolling...

By the way, I found some of the places that were supposed to be "ugly" quite interesting owning its own beauty. Specially the City Hall attracts me a lot.

Thank you Paderwan for the wonderful pics and please keep them coming!

Really like that city-hall building. The rest looks good too. I like cities that have many different faces.
