Moscow at Night by me. 2011-2012

Hello everybody This is my series of night photo of moscow. It was made at summer 2011 - summer 2012. it's was really hard and dangerous sometimes to make night photos of moscow, despite the fact that Moscow is a fairly safe city at night. But it was funny and interesting most of time, really i had spent time great while making this. Hope you will like it.

ATTENTION! )) i used wrong colour profiles so if u use mozilla and some other browsers colours can be weird, if so use other browser please. photos posted after 17 january are fixed, old photos i will not fix, cause why, i don't care )) really i have no time now to fix it, later maybe or maybe not

yes it's not really areas but just some places where you can go ) moscow really so place that it can be super glamorous club and near chavs drinking vodka from plastic glass. ex socialistic super wealth city )

yeah! randomly taken while photographing night city. 5am kutyzovskiy prospekt street ))) awarded in russian biggest competition of wild nature ) it was big pleasure to get into final ))))

no i do not photography religion buildings. i believe in jesus but relegion is not the thing that i support

One question, what do you mean by "dangerous"? Moscow(especially central districts) are very much safe imo, did you have any kind of experiences?

i will said so, moscow is really safe if you are without photo technics. if with bad variant for you because of drunk chavs (бухое быдло if you speak russian). they see camera they interesting than they want to get you cam. if you are not alone even with camera it's safe. but i am alone and have little height. so i am good victim. yeah dangerous in such conditions. in other conditions - youre not one, you have not camera or cheap looking camera - no problems, central districts of moscow safe for you. professional looking camera - get problems )

R@ptor no i think exist much more better places to go because of safety. and moscow architecture is really not interesting outside of central district and moscow-city skyscrapers. st. petersburg is better in terms of architecture much more better. but too not perfectly safe. i'd prefer western europe much more or north america or australia to travel. really. everything is good but personal street safety especially at night sucks. maybe not in central districts but at night in central districts too

Well, I will also visit St. Petersburg.

And I honestly think you are greatly exaggerating the crime levels of Moscow. While Moscow certainly isn't the safest city in the world, it has no more violent crime than other European capitals. Actually, you are much more likely to get assaulted or mugged in London than in Moscow.

Getting harassed by drunks while taking photos at night is also commonplace here in Western Europe. But just because some drunk idiot throws his beer can in your direction doesn't mean he will rob your camera with a knife at your throat.

twice dude. fucking twice times chavs tried to rob my cam i saying it only from my expirience not because of "greatly exaggerating" before i started photographing at streets at night i also thought that moscow is kinda safe. yeah. thought

night street photography in london? no fucking way!!! it's great city but moscow is enough for me in term of cam robbing. i know that london is worse than moscow in term of crime. i'm not talking about street walking safety. i'm talking about night street photographing safety
