Shame that blank wall will be right next to that pretty white Gothic building.

What will be on that empty plot in the first picture? Will it be tall enough to cover the blank wall when viewing from the WTC?

Still nude - at this point, the hold-up seems quite unusual.

August 26:

Cladding going up and it looks much better than the original (hideous) Kaufmanized stripes.

Skyline impact? Negligible. (at center right)

At least it is better than the horrid parking garage that this replaced.

This was topped out for a long time as well.

Yeah, this is turning out far better than expected. But they are still cladding this?? Why is it so slow?

Also, is it just me or is there something going on at that brown building, which was apparently set to be demolished?

Bland design, but thought it would turn out worse.

Yes, nothing particularly bad, nothing particularly good.

They should have at least covered the water tank on the roof. lt looks out of place.

this tower is hardly visible( and will get even more lost in the city once 50 west, and 111 washington are finished). It's as good as it gets, when it comes to these hotels; which isn't really saying much

Comparing the tower today (2014) vs the garage that it replaced (photos from 2007)
