Time for a Black and White insight into modern Brisbane.

In 1859 they broke away from New South Wales, but the southern influence remains

And yes they are watching, mostly with envy and jealously.

Brisbane is everchanging, the accelerator has only gone up and up.

Aspiring to success because they are indeed the smart state.

The money has flowed in recent years

Lets build a tower to the heavens

At street level, people go on with their daily business

despite the constant work taking place on the streets and squares.

Reminders of the past remind us of simpler times resisting the many attempts of change going on around them.

The bridges bring the city together and links it to the world

Brisbane is a city where life is interconnected, a place where connections are pivotal to success

The laneways provide mysteries that I have yet to answer.

The spirit of the season is always in you, whatever it is, Christmas, Easter or State of Origin

Creativity is welcome in the smart state

But then why did they let this get built???

Always amazing, everchanging

Brisbane wants to be at the top of the game

Unlike Sydney or Melbourne, a friendly, a casual chat in Queen St is the norm.

And having fun with your mates on the weekends is standard. Lets hook a line at Wynumn this weekend

Quite nice city. Pretty much clean and well kept. One thing that I always wanted to know about architecture in Australia is, doesn't all that glass on the CBD buildings make them less sustainable? Isn't Australia's weather too warm most of the year for glass on buildings facade? If you use glass here in Brazil probably offices will spend much more power to keep a/c working most of the day.

With newer buildings, its possible to build glass towers yet minimise their energy footprint.

Recently in Brisbane One One One Eagle Street was completed. It is all glass yet has a 6 Star Green Rating.
