Community Scale Model City

I thought this should be started, and since no one else is stepping up, here we go.

I made the map, its hand drawn. So first thing is to get the map into a real one and get it into the real scale.

We also need to establish the rules, like height restrictions, quality rules, and names.

What will be the name of the city?
Do you guys like the district names or should we change them?
Do we even want height restrictions?
Who wants to draw the map in MSP?

Do you think that because it would be so big it would take to long? And then we would get bored?

And I personally like either all imaginary or mixed.

Also I was thinking of names:

Kennedy

Hayeston

Madison

Tyler

I prefer imaginary too.

For the size, it's just that I can't create a huge city model (don't have much space) and I think I'm not the only one, don't know... Maybe I Imagine it too bigger than it will be.

For the name: Sleca City? ("scale city" letters) or something like that?

No we aren't going to have every file on every computer.

Everybody picks lots they want to do, then they make the buildings and post them on this thread. The largest file will probably be the map.

Oops of course I didn't think about that
We can always change the map.

4 could be nice as a beginning I think. Let's see what other members think about it.

For the size of buildings, the community will decide it if I understood right.

If you have ever looked at the 3D section they have their own community city where everybody contributes designs into one big city.

We are doing the same thing except we will print out and build it.

So I am going to have to re-do the map, the lots are too small.

Vision of what it can look like:

I just thought: the imaginary building I began today could be cool in our future city!

I will participate in this proyect
First we have to make a map, SWFC´s version looks good but i think we should make it bigger and add two islands, in the first island we could add imaginary buildings and in the second one real buildings.

I will start making my first imaginary building

Woah guys, wait until the map is done then make the buildings according to the lot.

And if you guys want it bigger, I might as well change it if you want, it doesn't take long.

We could do river, shore, port or dry land...which one?

I vote river

And If we chose river what we can do is make the land maps and the islands all cut out and paste them to a blue poster-board or something.

I like the port idea (maybe because I live near Sydney) but shore sounds just as good. Either way, this would be quite impressive
