I never had any problems communicating in German there. As a matter of fact most locals definitely preferred to communicate in German rather than in English when I offered them the choice.

There are several TGVs each day from Paris Est to Luxembourg and the travel time is 2h 10min each way.
For example:
Paris-Luxembourg: 7:40 - 9:48 a.m.
Luxembourg-Paris: 7:03 - 9:25 p.m

So it is definitely doable as a daytrip.

I took these pics in 2-3 hours. Virtually everything in the city center is within walking distance so it's worth a trip and definitely doable.

I am really impressed by not just the quality of your images, but also the subjects you've covered! Just my first time here, and I'll be honest: with a small area, Luxembourg sure is packed with everything I can think of: gotta love the church, as well as the statue of a saint, and the views from the city center! Spectacular shots, my friend! I'll come back for even more pics from you!

I visited Luxembourg over 25 years ago and have almost no memories of it as it didn't leave any great impression on me. However, going by these photos either I missed all the interesting parts or they have done a huge amount of restoration, improvements to the city. Looks great, must go back again!

Luxemburg is the perfect place for a short trip. It's international, there is a ton of things to see, it's walkable, it's within easy reach by train and by car etc. You were lucky to have bright and sunny weather though

Such lovely images, my friend! But I find this to be my most favorite among your latest photos:

That gives me the impression that I'm in a French city rather than a German one because of how the structures seem to be arranged, while the elegant light poles remind me that I'm in a completely different city.

Truly love your snaps indeed!

It does a pretty goob job of blending the different "spheres of influence" if you will together. Parts of the town feel somewhat German while those new areas definitely have a distinctly French atmosphere.

That's exactly what I noticed: those low-rise buildings seem to have both French and German connections to them because of the architecture and the arrangement given to them, while the vast expanse of green strikes to me as much more French than German. And oh, your church pics also tell me that those come from German influences than French because of the steeple design... Indeed, the "spheres of influence" really makes the city special, and it is one place I can visit as a side trip.

Great photos of Luxembourg. Another city rich in architecture by the looks of it. Definitely worth a visit sometime.
