its good for the president to consider putting up an airport at cdo considering the beating she got from nene pimentel...buti na lang pala nde pinipersonal ni pgma ang mga atake sa kanya.....the airport terminal...is ok....world class standard smaller scale nga lang....anyway..that is good...although it has only two aerobridge it can accomodate 3 planes all at the same time.....notice that one of the aerobridge has two tubes...

yeah....even though Laguindingan was planned very much earlier in 1992, Bacolod and Iloilo got the nod instead because of the votes

Neda-ICC approves additional funding for Laguindingan Airport project
P2.47 B added to original P5.39 B
Full report at the Business Mirror
http://www.businessmirror.com.ph/090...economy03.html

THE National Economic and Development Authority (Neda)-Investment Coordination Committee (ICC)-Cabinet Committee (CC) has approved the extension of the LRT Line 1, the Laguindingan Airport and the changes in scope of the Bacolod (Silay) Airport.

...

The Neda-ICC-CC, meanwhile, also approved the additional funding requirement for the Laguindingan Airport Development Project worth P2.47 billion. The original cost of the project was P5.39 billion.

“The construction work was originally scheduled to be implemented for four years. The loan validity is from June 19, 1988, to December 19, 2002. With the granting of [the] additional loan, the loan closing date was extended up to January 13, 2008,” the Neda document read.

The additional loan will be extended by the Export Import Bank of Korea through EDCF and Export Credit. Around $8.2 million will be taken from the EDCF, while $62.75 million will come from Export Credit.

The Laguindingan Airport will decongest the Cagayan de Oro Airport, whose 250,000 annual passenger capacity has already been exceeded. It will also cater to commercial flights going to Iligan, whose airport ceased operation in 1992 after Philippine Airlines stopped flights going to the province.

Repost from Greater Cagayan de Oro Infrastructure and Proposal Thread

Hi everyone, it's me here to update you for the current status of the Laguindingan Airport Development Project (LADP), reporting here from LADP Info Desk.

Well, as of end of 11 July 2007, the following are the updates for LADP per component:

Component 1 - Laguindingan Resettlement Project Phase 2

This component of the Project was started last 22 April 2007 and ongoing implemented by the National Housing Authority (NHA) through a MOA signed last June 2007 between DOTC, NHA, LGU-Laguindingan, Provincial Gov't of Misamis Oriental. Ongoing Earthworks, Off-site Waterworks, Subdivision Survey Works, and Electrical Works are undertaken by the Contractor. The site development of the Phase 2 Resettlement Site (425 Lots) with Contract Cost of P38.79 Million, is expected to be completed by 18 October 2007 (after six months duration).

Component 2 - Construction of Airport Access Road

This component of the Project is slated to be started by 12 July 2007, after the Notice to Proceed (NTP) was already issued to the winning contractor last 02 July 2007. The 4.3 km (4 lanes) Access Road which will connect the existing National Highway to the Airport Site will cost about P188 Million with a contract duration of 300 calendar days. The 24 Hectares Road-Right-of-Way was already completed by the Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental.

Component 3 - Main Airport Civil Works

This component of the Project is ongoing under the procurement process by DOTC BAC. Last 18 May 2007, four (4) interested korean contractors had submitted their prescribed pre-qualification documents for evaluation by DOTC and subsequent approval by lending bank (KEXIM Bank). The pre-qualification evaluation report will soon be released by DOTC with concurrence by the lending bank by mid of July 2007. The issuance of bid documents for the pre-qualified korean contractors will be made by mid-august 2007. Thereafter, proper bidding will start with the target date of selecting a korean contractor by end of November 2007. By December 2007, the Main Airport Civil Works will commence with the issuance of DOTC of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) to the winning korean contractor at that time.

Well, this are just few of the many updates to come in the following months for the Laguindingan Airport Development Project.

If you have further querries about LADP, you can post your querries and we will be glad to respond to them, as appropriate as possible.
