Parks to get new rides in December
AMC lists 49 rides which will be installed for Rs 50 crore through PPP model LINK Amdavadis have got another reason to look forward to the Kankaria Carnival in December. Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation is planning to set up new rides not just at Kankaria lake but also at Vastrapur and Prahladnagar gardens. The civic body has listed around 49 rides which will be installed for Rs 50 crore through a public private partnership model. “We have listed the rides and the concerned companies have been intimated. We plan to set up the rides by December so that people can enjoy these during the Kankaria Carnival which will begin on December 25,” said Standing Committee chairman Bhupendra Patel. AMC plans to install :
Prahladnagar garden will get:
Officials said ticket price for rides to be installed at Vastrapur and Prahladnagar has been fixed but they are still mulling over price of tickets at Kankaria. “The price for rides like giant train, megamix, super duper, dog and Captain Hook is likely to be fixed between Rs 10 and Rs 20,” said a source.       -------------------------------------------------

Yeah, when they were opening here, their ads were full of things like Dubai's biggest cinemas coming to Ahmedabad etc.

Difficult to not notice dusty road next to a marvelous building and well maintained landscape garden...we'll have to figure out how to make the city dust free.
