Ontopscraper: Skyscrapers built on top of buildings

Post here images of skyscrapers that were built on top of existing building, or look like they have been built on top of building.

Naturally all know this one:

The World Trade Center in Rotterdam was built in the 1980's on top of a 1930's building:

10 S. Lasalle was built using the facade of the previous building

I'm guessing the low section is an old building, no? Avenu Irigoyen in Cordoba, Argentina.

Buildings of this kind that spontaneously come to my mind are these two:

Elbe Philharmonic Hall (110 m - Hamburg, Germany) on top of an old warehouse

Steinwerder von Bluemi Zellhaufen auf Flickr

Exzenterhaus (89 m - Bochum, Germany) on top of an old bunker from WWII

These are weird. Do the foundations have to be redone or something?

The one in Estonia is gorgeous, but the Georgian building is just grotesque. What was I.M. Pei thinking?

Not really a skyscraper, but the Club Quarters hotel across from the WTC site, had a complete renovation and a modern extension after it was damaged in the attacks.

The white building near the center:
