Coming soon

UPCOMING launches to look out for:

The Metz by MCL Land: High-end 169 freehold units at Devonshire Road, near Orchard. Likely to be above $1,000 psf.

[/size]
Finally some news on this one. The plot has been vacant for a long time and the showroom there has been closed and the grass is overgrown. It would be fairly tall for the Orchard Rd area.

The project was launched last weekend

Stepping into The Metz is not unlike treading into a lush tropical urban oasis. A generous green landscape with towering palms and thick bamboo. A stately line of palms shading an inviting 45-meter lap pool and secluded 'couples only' bubble pools. Come home every day to a perfect backdrop for luxurious living.

Looks very much like any other sengkang type condo, not appealing, except for the location. Is it freehold?

Oh yes, how do they fit so many units in that (looks to be) small block? Look at 02 and 03, they are tiny!!!!:D

:hahaha: Yes it is freehold.. If you are looking at this property as a potential dream house, with luxurious fittings, private jacuzzi etc, then its obviously not very appealing. a small part of the property slump for the past few years can be atributed to the LARGE and Spacious condo, houses. Guess there was a time where the rich singaporeans are more traditional and have bigger families, so to speak. so a 4 bedroom condo 3000sqft in size is very appealing. But if we take a realistic look at current demographics, seems like most of the people who are hunting for high-end houses now are mainly made up of couples who dont want kids (yet), or high net worth singles who want to remain single. Guess what type of properties they would go for?
A simple to maintain yet posh and convenient bachelor pad in the heart of the city, or a 3 bedroom property where one will have to pay 2-3times the price for spaces he/she wont use?
just my tots...

Freehold The Metz At Prime Location To Be Launched On 20 Novemeber 2004

17 November 2004 - Located along Devonshire Road, the much-awaited freehold 169-unit The Metz will be launched on 20 November 2004 at an average price of $1,238 psf. Developed by MCL Land, The Metz is superbly located as it is a short stroll to Somerset MRT station and Orchard Road and mere minutes away from Shenton Way.

The excellent location of The Metz had attracted keen interest and generated strong sales in Indonesia during a recent exhibition. “More than 20 per cent of the units were snapped up during the exhibition. Apart from the location, the Indonesian buyers were also impressed with the overall concept of the development. We are confident that The Metz will be well received in the local market as well,” said a spokesperson of MCL Land.

Designed as a haven in the city, The Metz boasts a generous green landscape with towering palms and thick bamboo. It also offers full condominium recreational facilities which include tennis court, gym, function room and BBQ pavilions. “Some of the unique features of the development include a 45-metre lap pool and ‘couples only’ bubble pools. There is also a private lift lobby for every unit,” said Ms Margaret Thean, Executive Director, Residential Department, DTZ Debenham Tie Leung.

The single block, 27-storey development has a variety of residences, from one-bedroom, two-bedroom, three-bedroom units to penthouses. Sizes range from 570 – 3,229 square feet. Spacious yet with a cosy touch, the interiors of the units are designed to optimize living space with high ceilings of 3.3 metre. The stone and timber finishes provide a warm and intimate atmosphere while bright clean lines complete a modern exclusiveness that is truly unique to The Metz.

“We are also offering a Deferred Payment Scheme where only a 20 per cent payment is required,” said Mr Joseph Tan, Director, Residential Project Marketing, CB Richard Ellis.
The development is jointly marketed by property consultants CB Richard Ellis and DTZ Debenham Tie Leung.

The showflats at 83 Devonshire Road will be open to the public this weekend between 10.00am and 6.00pm daily.
