While we can't compete with the booming skylines all over the world anymore, maybe we could go for the record rumber of 39-story buildings!

At least it's better than vancouvers record number of 32 story buildings.

Uggh!
Nothing spectacular here, but here's the hotel project for Boren and Stewart: http://www.seattle.gov/dpd/AppDocs/G...endaID4203.pdf Odd location for a hotel - at this time. |

Hee hee... It's so Seattle 1960s/70s. It'll disappear each year during the month of November.

Is that not just Boren One, a project we've been talking about for a long time? It's discussed on the first page of this thread and in others before that...

THAT side of the block should have had a high-rise. Isn't there one planned for the two-story Yamasaki building site? That would put it right next to the Aspira.

Not the worst thing in the world, but nothing special either. My main problem is that it appears that the office building cafe and the hotel restaurant won't have their own entrances, and rather patrons will be funneled through the lobbies. The facade should be as permeable as possible along the sidewalk.

I think it is all right looking building but I think it will turn out better than renderings when it gets built.

![]() That thing is reminiscent of the original building of the San Francisco Hilton. They've tried (unsuccessfully) to disguise it via a series of additions. It takes quite an architectural knack to make stacks of rooms into an attractive structure. IMO, Hilton never got it. |
