3rd flr already, as high as Burj Dubai is at the moment, i see both of them rising at the same rate, but it looks like B Dubaio will be at least a couple of 100m taller 750 compared to 550ish. Is SWFC still looking at a 2007 completion. As BD is 2008 and a 1/3rd taller it seems to make sense they'll rise at the same rate.
Good to see so much of a change in only a week or so. 3flrs a week?

This building promises to be STUNNING! Worth the wait (which must hold the world record for time elapsed between proposed to U/C)- which is saying a lot!

Thanks 10025, those are one of the best pics yet.

I remember the days where we saw a picture of the area fenced off as we all wondered if the thing was going to get built.

That reminds me of the days when Pudong was just one large, flat expanse of earth, after the old buildings were cleared away. Could have made for a colossal rice farm.

Great progress on the project; the columns are suddenly rising like bamboo!

No, I'm sure plenty of buildings would beat SWFC at that record. However, it definitely took a while from first attempted construction (small cranes actually appeared on the site years ago, and subsequently did nothing) to final completion.

I'd have to say I'm shocked at how quickly it's growing too! This'll be a very beautiful tower when done. It would be nice if China could get the WTB title for a time before BD is completed.
