Passed by it today... it's only a third or so of its eventual height and just envisioning it with the other two completed...well, while the design takes some getting used to they will very significant in the skyline.... the slighter shorter companion to the Trump Tower is rising there(up to 4th floor already) literally right across the street. Several 400-600ft towers have risen or are about to rise nearby and the tallest building in Jersey City, and tallest of any outside a main city, 99 Hudson will rise to about supertall levels at 990ft and is slated for groundbreaking early this summer. And a slew of 400 ft or taller towers are in the pipeline so this is just the beginning.... not even counting in the Journal Square area the likelihood of at least a half dozen towers of 450 ft or greater. In five years both sides of the Hudson will be sporting impressive skyline expansion.... almost look like one coming together!

31 floors + ground floor already... Before we know it, this building will be T/O.
It grew nine floors from since the update on the post 81, that is nine floors in just one month.
At the rhythm they are working, it could be topped out as soon as early fall.

We need an update from Manhattan to see how it looks from there already.

Some have already come down against the design that was chosen but I'm holding off til I see the building cladded and built out.... with two similar sized towers on the other lot and the impression the tops will be lit at night despite the bad press this development definitely helps fill in the downtown waterfront and there's still a lot of projects that will be built over the next few years... including the tallest building in New Jersey, the 990 ft. tower set for 99 Hudson Street. Hudson Street still has two large lots that are owned by Goldman-Sachs(55 Hudson, 50 Hudson )that no doubt will yield large towers as well. Don't forget, besides Journal Squared in the center of town (where the first of three towers is already rising) is the renewed City Center project that was bought by Jared Kushner's firm of which a concrete plan is expected soon which will also be quite transformative.

From the blog Urbanism Vs Modernism June 28th.

This one is old, from May 25th, but I like the take with 1WTC in the background.

The progress as of june 28th marked by the arrows. Still 25 floors + the crown to go.
At the speed they are working the topping out will be very soon. They build 21 floors from april 24th to june 28th, a bit more than two months. So by late september - early october they can finish the 25 floors left before building the crown.

How tall is the current building under construction going to be, 720 feet? Or is that for a different one?

Awesome shots Ken! I count about 45 floors, so roughly 2/3 in height done!
