Sansiri launches 3 condo projects

Sansiri is launching three new condominium projects under brand The Base worth Bt4.6 billion.

The are The Base Park West Sukhumvit 77 worth Bt1.5 billion with a starting price of Bt1.6 million per unit, The Base Height Mitraparp-Khonkaen worth Bt2.1 billion starting at Bt1.59 million, and The Base Uptown Phuket worth Bt1 billion and starting at Bt2.1 million per unit. Presales will begin next month.

The company is aiming for total presales of Bt40 billion this year, it said in a news release.

Kangsadarn Area development project planned for KKU people and nearby communities

The KKU Finance and Assets Division revealed that this development project has already progressed very far down the line, and he believed it is an opportunity that would create great benefits for KKU personnel, staff and students as well as members of the public located nearby.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sommai Preeprem, the KKU Vice President for Finance and Assets said the project has been approved by the KKU Council who had long foreseen that the Kangsadarn project area would be useful as a residential area as well as a study campus. Its feasibility has been under study since 1991.

The Kangsadarn Area is targeted as the project area for KKU students and personnel service center. It is now rapidly growing with profitable businesses and could be further developed as a thriving commercial and community service center for KKU earning procedures.

He added that particularly for the first phase development on the 50-rai area, the KKU has employed a consultative company to help implement this commercial and investment plan to earn more income for the university.

KKU will extend privileges to the private sector to encourage it to invest and manage the project activities that will be useful for the varsity’s personnel and the general public under the KKU steering committee.

The Vice President added that the university has already announced publicly and extensively to interested private companies since the KKU Council approved the project proposal in October this year.

He noted that at present the dates for the opening bids from any private investors are from November 15–December 13, 2012. More information is available from the KKU website.

He also said that the KKU would announce the final selection of the one investing company that would be granted the license to launch its business project in February next year, and that the project development would begin around 2014.

KKU will build up Natural History Museum

In 2015, KKU will establish a museum in the west side area of Bung Srithan Reservoir as the learning source of nature science and study for children, youths, students and members of the general public.

The Museum will be under the responsibility of Research and Technology Transfer Affairs and the office of Royalty Initiated Projects. It will be aptly used as a grand welcome for the national academic conference on Plant Genetic Conservation Project to be hosted by Khon Kaen.

This conference is held every two years, and both departments had agreed that KKU should have the museum to display both temporary and permanent exhibitions in honor of Their Majesties, the King and Queen. The Opening Ceremony of the conference will be presided by HRH Princess Maha ChakriSirindhorn who has also graciously consented to officially open the museum and chair the symposium.

The organizers of the conference anticipatean influx of research work papers and presentations on nature science and history by KKU personnel and other related working agencies.

The museum building will start construction in October 2014 and will be finished in 2015 with the budget of 130,000,000baht.Itis expected to draw at least 200 visitors from the main target group, the Northeastern region. They will have a chance to learn more about nature and the history of Khon Kaen. The museum would also boost the value-added travel/tourism and economic sectors in the province as well as generate more local earnings and distribution in the nearby areas.
