NASHVILLE | Strings | 32 fl | Pro

Quote:
Here's one that has Nashville commercial real estate professionals talking and chuckling.

Travis Kelty, a local commercial broker, walked into an architect's office, put an acoustic guitar upright on the table and said, "I want to build this building."

Kelty wasn't kidding. With a sketch of a 32-story, guitar-shaped glass and steel highrise now in hand and a development team in place, Kelty says he's ready to take the next step in his quest to build Nashville's most iconic building. (Check out the project's website here.)

Kelty, who runs Impakt Commercial Real Estate and who previously worked at local brokerage NAI Nashville (now Colliers International), said he would like to secure land for the project, dubbed "Strings," within the next 60 days. He's focused on the core of Nashville and expects to pay $3 million to $5 million for a site, possibly more.

Kelty said he's in talks with two anchor tenants wanting to move to Nashville and will be able to secure financing once 50 percent of the 300,000-square-foot building is leased. He says he is in talks with equity partners in New York City. [...]

Well "ugly skyscrapers" are just waiting for this project
Seriously, it will be the most silly construction ever.
