The Brotonne Bridge is the third bridge that crosses the Seine between the cities of Le Havre and Rouen (counted from the mouth of the river). It was constructed in 1977.
It used to have a toll but since 2006 it is free. Too bad, I used it only before they remove the toll.

Actually I found this photo with works during the construction of viaduct de Chanteloube. It's quite interesting the story of the Chorges and Barcelonnette railway.

photo

As it's shown here there was also another viaduct, Prego-Dieu viaduct, but it was dynamited, since there wasn't build just the pillars

Sorry, I'm not very good in English, I don't understand. What did you mean?

Thanks for your link on the Barcelonette railway, that was very interesting. The viaduc de Pralong (which still exists) seems nice. Too bad they didn't finished the Prego-Dieu viaduct...

The Gustave Flaubert bridge is the 6th bridge of Rouen. It was opened in 2008. As you can see it can be lifted to give passage to boats. However this doesn't seem to happen often as people don't want there boats to be retained on the other side. Moreover a new port was constructed before the bridge so now large boats really have the choice to cross it or not.
Even if it is not so useful to have a vertical lift bridge, I like its massive pillars and the overall design of this bridge. It is a great addition - and an expensive one - to the city.

Contrary to the pont de Normandie and the Brotonne bridge which also cross the seine and which are cable stayed, the pont de Tancarville is a suspension bridge. It was open in 1959. For 20 years it was the only bridge between Rouen and the sea.

From Normandy, we go to Britany with first the Pont de Terenez.

The old Térénez bridge, built in 1950, was a suspension bridge. However it has Concrete cancer and needed to be replaced. They built a new bridge that opened in 2011.
The new bridge is a cabled stayed curved bridge because they wanted trucks to be able to pass each other when entering/leaving the bridge.

You can have a look at this thread for more info and pics.

The toupin viaduct was once a rail bridge (only one track) but it is now a road bridge. It seems that it is in bad shape and will maybe be demolished.
By the way there are many many bridges in Saint-Brieuc if you like bridges.

For once, two (unknown) bridges. Located at Le Bono, the suspended bridge of Le Bono was built in 1835. It is now a pedestrian only bridge. The Joseph Le Brix bridge was built in 1969 because the old one was too small for car traffic.
By the way, if you go near this place, don't miss it. The village is really nice (old village, old port) and you have also a nice walk path along the river.

Located near the city of Tregier, the Guidy aqueduct bridge was built at the beginning of the 17th century to bring water to Tregier (once a very important city). However the spring went dry so this aqueduct is no longer used.

Today, we have two bridges.
The Plougastel Bridge, or Albert-Louppe Bridge, is an old bridge over the Elorn River that connects Brest with Plougastel-Daoulas. It is now a pedestrian and bike bridge. There was a lower deck, reserved for a rail line, that was never used.
The Pont de l'Iroise, built parallel to the Plougastel Bridge, carries the car traffic. This new bridge was opened in 1994.

The Morlaix Viaduct is a rail bridge on the Paris-Brest line. It is almost 150 years old. On the lower viaduct, you have a pedestrian path.
Since the train station is upside the hill and the historical center of the city downside, there was a funicular project: around 1900 the work began but due to lack of money this was stopped in 1930.

The Pont de Recouvrance is a vertical-lift bridge in Brest. It was opened in 1954 at the place of an old bridge destroyed by the allies in 1944.
The problem with a bridge at this place is the military port behind it. It was hard to meet the demands from the army. A feature, is the possibility to remove the deck: in case of a war, the army doesn't want that some of its boat stay blocked behind the bridge. To do that you lower the deck to the level of the water and you take it away... This feature was used in 2011 when they changed the deck of the bridge.
To resume, there are 3 positions for the deck: the normal one, the high one to allow boats under it, and the water level one to remove the deck.

Very interesting.
Je ne savais pas que le tablier de Brest pouvait s'enlever par le bas! Très astucieux!

I don't have much to say on the bridge apart from its date.
The Montifort bridge was built in the 14th century.
