anyway let's just be thankful na naging 4-lanes na ito kahit delayed. at least may pa-premyo tayo rito. baka sabihin naman sa atin wala tayong kakunte-kuntento sa buhay, nung 2 lanes, nag-aalsa tayo, ngayong 4-lanes na nag-aalsa pa rin tayo.

mas ok na na gawing 4-lanes na agad yung expressway (as per descripton by streetsmart) kaysa naman sa 2-lane carriageway na parang STAR expressway(at parang MNR )

Bad news -- This will cause a delay in the opening. SCTEX to Gerona is targeted to open in end-July 2013 while Gerona to Carmen is targeted for April 2014. Still no firm schedule for Carmen to Urdaneta.

yup yun ang tinutukoy namin na 2 lanes mula Lipa hanggang Batangas City. yung made-delay ang opening ng TPLEx because the road will be upgraded to full 4-lanes. that would be worth the wait.

sana ganito ang NLEE sa Dalton Pass if ever hirap sila. gawing tunnel ito.

Kudos to PDIC to make TPLEx 4 lanes at least up to Urdaneta.

Kung tuusin malaking opportunity cost to kasi imbis na magbukas at magstart na magcharge ng toll fee, ipapaliban muna nila to.

Sorry for this question, hirap na kasi mag backread...
Anung distance ng
- Tarlac SCTEx terminus to TPLEX Urdaneta?
- TPLEX Urdaneta to TPLEx Rosario terminus?

Salamat

hi peeps!
for me, full 4 lanes to urdaneta with 12 months to wait is fine.
kahit 2 lanes muna ang section 3 pero may study ba sa traffic volume tuwing holiday season/panagbenga season kung maaacommodate ba ng 2 lane carriageway to baguio/ilocos?

Thanks Barney

Buti nalang ginawang 4 lane section up to Urdaneta, sobrang haba pala ng section na to, parang IRRI to Luneta Park na.

Yesterday, the contractor for the Agno viaduct lifted and inserted the first rebar cage. The cage is around 32 meters long and weighs 38 tons. Per instructions of the designer, it had to be fabricated and lifted in one piece. Thus, the contractor had to use a very big 150-ton crane.

The crane at the left is the main lifting crane while the one on the right was used for boring:

The main lifting crane hooks up to the top of the cage, while the smaller white crane at the right will hook up to the bottom:

Partial lifting. Note that the bottom of the cage is buckling under the weight:

Cage is nearly vertical. While the cage is lifted, the main crane rotates toward the smaller crane:

Cage is vertical and the smaller crane backs off:

Cage is rotated nearly 180 degrees and positioned right on top of the bore hole:

Cage is lowered down into the hole. Operation took 2 hours, orchestrated by an Italian from Trevi:

Ganong kalalim pala yung pundasyon ng Agno viaduct, halos yung buong cage nakabaon na sa lupa
