And how The Scalpel compares with London's skyline* :

Sky graph - LBT + 22B + 1CS + 110B + LB + 1PD + 8CS + 52LS + T42 + VT + 30SMA + 100B + 1BR + 20FS + 10PD + BWT + GHT + WWE1&E2 + 51LS + Lloyds + TNB + 8WS
by The Shard Baby 2006-2016, on Flickr
*The comparison only applies against the buildings which I have drawn so far. 25 Canada Square diagram coming soon.

Tower Floors for London's Scalpel Under Construction

Quote:
The traditional City of London, which represents only a small part of the metropolis, has been the staging ground for an influx of imaginative and often wacky skyscrapers. Projects like 30 St Mary Axe, colloquially known as The Gherkin, and the 'Cheesegrater' Leadenhall Building have altered the central business district. A number of other proposals will continue this transformation, including The Scalpel, a Kohn Pedersen Fox-designed highrise currently under construction.

Indeed and the Leadenhall building gives so much charm and sophisticated elegance to the City's overall skyline.

First tenants book space at the Square Mile’s latest skyscraper

THE developer behind the latest addition to the City of London skyline — the skyscraper known as the Scalpel — is close to signing up its first two occupiers, the Standard understands.

US insurer WR Berkley is behind the 192-metre tall Scalpel and is taking eight floors of the building, including the top two.

But industry sources said US insurer Axis Capital is set to sign up for three floors and broker Berry Palmer & Lyle is understood to be also taking a floor in the 38-storey tower.

One source said: “We’ve had Brexit but the simple fact of the matter is that there’s still a lot of demand and not enough space. This is a good sign that the market is still trading.”

The building is being constructed in the heart of the Square Mile’s insurance district on the corner of Lime Street and Leadenhall Street — a stone’s throw from the inside-out Lloyd’s of London headquarters and the Cheesegrater tower.

Can we add 'The Scalpel' in the topic name so it will be more recognisable?

BTW I really wanna see this one completed, looks very good for the City of London!

Will the core be directly against the cladding?

I agree, a beautiful addition that will make The City even more recognizable.
