They are awsome! Is that really made of foam board? They look really detailed!

Many thanks, guys. Yup, the frames are made of foam board, with painted poster board and other assorted materials making up the facades.

Great job! I just want to have the last one in my living room ...
Leds are awsome, could you explain me a little bit of how you put them in the model?

Its pretty simple. I get the LEDs off ebay (from China) for something ridiculous like 20 pieces for $3. They come pre-wired with the resistors and positive/negative wires, so all you have to do is figure out where you want them to go in your model, put them in, wire them all together (positive wire to positive wire, negative to negative) and connect to a power source. I'm currently using an old AC adapter plugged to a switched outlet.

One extra provision that I've put in is the ability to plug and unplug each individual building from the main AC adapter power line, using male/female jacks. I've got 6 models all plugged in, with a total of approx 30-40 LEDs, but because they're so energy efficient, they barely take up any power at all.

Trump World Tower

This is my first attempt at an all glass model. The frame is foam board as usual, wrapped with bronze window tint film. On top of that I used poster board wrapped in glossy black auto vinyl, with random windows cut out to give the appearance of opened curtains highlighting the bronze tinted "glass". For the remainder of the facade, I lightly scored the outlines of the rest of the windows and other facade details. My windows are a bit bigger than they should be, but its good enough for me.

I decided against doing any interior illumination, because I'm focusing only on the official lighting schemes for each model. So I just slapped a red FAA light on top.

American Radiator

Here is my American Radiator. According to my scale, its pretty small at just over 6 inches. I placed one white LED in front to uplight it, with the trees covering up the actual bulb representing a tiny bit of Bryant Park. I completed this within 2 days, which, after a month of working on the Chrysler, was a breath of fresh air.

Very nice!
You should put some object beneath your models for scale comparison.

That's a good idea, I think I'll do that.

Tonight I'll be putting the finishing touches on my Metropolitan Life Tower. It's been on hold for a few days awaiting the 1.5mm white LEDs I ordered. The crown is too small for the regular 3mm or 5mm bulbs. Once that's up and running, I'll take a shot of my entire skyline (thus far) all lit up.

Metropolitan Life Tower

Here is my Metropolitan Life Tower that I just completed on Friday. I couldn't get the window shapes quite right, but unless you're an architecture buff I don't think its noticeable.
