Rizal Park pics are great! Manila looks so different from the air! well i guess that's because we can't see the things that makes us blow our top off i.e garbage, messed-up roads

well eastwood is really in the middle of nowhere. and it terms of area, it is not that large.
btw, lumpia, how old are those aerials? i can't see a couple scrapers that's supposed to be there right now

from all these, you can clearly see how manila is better planned than makati. it just so happens that makati has more skyscrapers. manila has bigger parks. more grids. bay. river. manila has everything!

Yeah... even my relatives who came home here from Berlin said Manila seems well planned with plazas and roundabouts.... all they hate is traffic.

i like the way forbes park's street appeared undulating the trees lining it......and also the way valle verde is filled with houses----you could see the pattern of the subdivision from the aerial shot

Green Meadows, Corinthians and Valle Verde are really good subdivisions.. |

With "ji" as in hemorrhoids written in Hirigana its "chi" with dots instead of "shi",you know you dont normally put dots on "chi" right? but when i was lookin' it up in the dictionary i was really surprisd because they'd write it with a dotted "shi" also you know how they write "dolphin" as "sea pig" but using the same character for "pig" i wonder why "river pig" is read as "puffer fish"even though they live in the sea..... |

yup... I think... from the current Manila Harbor upto Baclaran all stood on reclaimed land.... so basically the whole Roxas Blvd is on reclaimed land....

ryt, our history professor even confirmed that the original portion of manila bay stretches as far as on mabini st., a lot of changes daw happened during the spanish times that totally changed manila's city landscape. the harbour ctr, the whole port area, roxas & coastal road are all reclaimed na, w/c is why malalim na agad ung manila bay upon reaching the sea wall.
