Intramuros was supposed to be where the Pasig met the Manila Bay. so yeah, Roxas boulevard could have been reclaimed, but probably during the American Era. the CCP Complex was during Marcos.

for me manila city is still the greatest city in the phils , the cultural sites, the parks the colonial and government buildings speaks of our past history though its position as the financial and commercial centre has long overtaken by other cities nearby

here's an aerial I found... on airliners...

shows much of FBGC as well as a bird's-eye view of the new Market! Market! Looks real nice from above, but I wanna see pictures of the inside... the tip of the Makati line is also shown.

hmm... that shot makes it seem that the BGC is quite not as large as I thought it should be...

i would guess that the area at lower left is the mckinley hill village....

what's the area on the other side of C5 across BGC....is it the infamous maharlika village?

I agree with pau...BGC doesnt look that big in that photo. But we have to remember that it extends to the green patches on the right side of the picture. That area is the least developed part of BGC. Serendra takes up a chunk of BGC...

Is Maharlika Village the FVR housing project for Philippine veterans of the Philippine Armed Forces?

Or is it the place where people were detained by Marcos during Martial Law?

That place has a bad reputation. Try riding a taxi and ask the driver to take you to Maharlika village and you'll have a hard time convincing the driver to take you there.

I wonder how much of it is true and how much of it is religious discrimination.

hi ronna, no its not, its the town of pateros, but no theyre not squatters as what they appear, mga bahay talaga yan, ok...

god the global city is really huge!!! & to think only a third of the fort was sold to bcda, i could imagine the whole fort boni can be as big as half the total area of the whole makati city!! pwede....but sadly, given the current economic situationer, (na urong-sulong....), i think it would take at least 20 years more before we can see its volume & density
