Newest Renders always on the first post of a thread

I had this problem now several times, that either the newest render of a project was deep inside a thread or that the newest render was on the first page, but got deleted from the hosting site or whatever. we really need a system like we have for the title of a thread, for the first post of a thread. This thread is for ideas of how we could make something like this, because i am sure i am not the only one who has problems like that, especially for chinese skrapers in the lower supertall region (300m-350m) it can be hard to keep track and always trying to find the newest render can be a pain. I suppose whenever a final render comes up it should be reported on the "change title" thread, so that admins can move it directly to the front page.

There isn't a chance that the admins could comb through every thread and update the first post with a new photo; it would take way too much time. Threads are chronological; page one is the beginning and the last page is the latest. Photos should all correspond to the date of the entry, or it could become confusing for readers.

Well, no. I don't think it is confusing to put the newest renders onto the first page.
Just add the date and it will be clear.

However, for Mods its a lot of work (that I actually would appreciate very much) and many thread starters don't care or mind later after dozens or hundreds of pages. So, difficult to do..

I think the best thing to do is when a new render is posted, someone link that image to an admin or moderator than can edit the first post and add it.

or do something like the SSP forums do, a picture that can be seen on every post of the thread which is a bit smaller. not sure if it works in vbulletin though, i just try to find ideas and i know that mods cant look through all threads, but we can, and when we find an error we can link it in the thread for it, it also works with thread titles, if we had a basic form which every thread has to start with, it also would be a simple copy and past for the mods, just for name changes i think. although i am not sure exactly what the admin control panel looks like, well that's basically why i started the thread, to get ideas how we could get a solution that makes it easier to find newest renders, it is not like the newest renders are always on the last post, sometimes a thread has hundrets of pages and the latest render is right three thirds towards the end.

Is a "render" like a "draw"?

It's rendering, just like drawing.
