The net time the Summer Olympics come to the United States, it may as well be in either Dallas or New York City. In New York City, space it too limited for new venues and infrastructure for a SOGs in New York City. Dallas, on the other hand, would have most of the facilities and infrastructure in place for a SOGs, so their existing resources as a potential host city are second to none. Dallas is one of the very few cities in the world and in the United States that can easily host a Summer Olympics and Paralympic Games without requiring a major building programme solely dedicated to building brand-new venues and infrastructure. Dallas currently has plenty of top-quality venues such as Cowboys Stadium and the American Airlines Arena.
If Dallas were chosen to host a Summer Olympics and Paralympics, an Olympic Village near fair Park would be considered. Dallas has an effficient transport network, with many of the potential venues being served by the city's extensive freeway/expressway network and/or the most extensive light rail network in the U.S.. If there were a main stadium would probably be based at Fair Park, on the site of the Cotton Bowl Stadium. The Dallas metropolitan area can meet the accommodation requirements with a fair number of hotel units and a few large hotels here and there.

I wonder if Dallas could channelize the Trinity River deep enough to build Olympic facilities along the banks from Commerce St. northward. The optics would be spectacular and the reclaimed lands could be developed for generations to come. Plus a Trinity riverwalk could be a huge asset for Dallas as well.

Part of that investment in sporting infrastructure can be seen at Aspetar, the Gulf region’s first specialized Orthopedic and Sports Medicine hospital that has attracted Olympic athletes and leading footballers to its treatment rooms.
